Adobe Illustrator Training Class

Adobe Illustrator Course Overview

Illustrator can be used to accomplish many different design tasks. For this reason, this course teaches core concepts and techniques that can be applied to any workflow for print, the web, or assets that will find their way into other applications. Our Adobe Certified Instructor will explain the elements that make up vector graphics—paths, strokes, and fills—and show how to use each of Illustrator's drawing tools.

Software Requirements: Each computer requires the following software:

  • Microsoft® Windows® XP with Service Pack 2
  • Adobe® Illustrator® CS5
  • Adobe® Reader® 8.0
  • Adobe® Flash® Player
  • Microsoft® Internet Explorer®

Level 1

Class Length: 1 day (approx. 6 hours)

Prerequisites: Before taking this course, students should be familiar with the basic functions of their computer's operating system such as creating folders, launching programs, and working with windows. Students should also have basic Windows application skills, such as copying and pasting objects, formatting text, saving files, and so on.

Familiarity with basic design terminology, such as palette, color mode, shapes, text, and paths is highly recommended.



Level 2

Class Length: 1 day (approx. 6 hours)

Prerequisites: Adobe Illustrator Level 1 or equivalent knowledge or experience.
