Adobe Photoshop Basics Training Class

Course Overview

Photoshop has become an indispensable tool for photographers, designers, and all other creative professionals, as well as students. Led by an Adobe Certified Instructor, the course demonstrates established techniques as well as those made possible by some of the new features unique to Photoshop CS4. This course is crucial to those who are new to the application, just learning this version, or expanding their skills. This course teaches a broad spectrum of core skills that are common to many creative fields:

  • Working with layers and selections
  • Adjusting, manipulating, and retouching photos
  • Painting
  • Adding text
  • Automating
  • Preparing files for output
  • ...and much more

Class Length: 2 day (approx. 8 hours each)

Prerequisites:

  • Knowledge of previous versions of Photoshop is helpful, but not required
  • General computer knowledge (Mac or PC) such as:
    • Opening and closing programs
    • Opening and closing documents
    • Saving files
  • Basic knowledge of file types (i.e. .mp3, .jpg, .wmv, .mov)
  • Basic knowledge of internet usage
  • Willingness to learn
  • Note taking materials, if desired

Beverages and munchies provided; one hour mid-day lunch break.
