Course Overview

Now that you're comfortable with the basics of using a Mac, learn how to do even more with Mac OS X. This class picks up on the skills you aquired in Apple and Mac Basics for Windows Users 101 and continues showing you how to translate your Windows skills to the Mac platform. You have questions? We have answers and resources to help even after the class. Whether you are building your business on a Mac or seeking a better tool to express your creativity, we can help you achieve your goals.

This course focuses on the similarities and differences between the two operating systems and aims to familiarize students with the terminology and interface that can initially be mystifying for Windows users. We will learn:

• How to set up automatic backups and restore files and your entire computer
• Connect to the Internet with a hard-wire connection or with AirPort
• Use advanced Speech capabilities
• Set up multiple users
• Share files with other networked computers
• Work effectively even with a cluttered screen
• ...and much more.

Bring your projects because we build in time to help you with your specific challenges. You can bring your new mac or use one of our iMacs in our fully equipped training room.

Class Length: half day (approx. 4 hours)
